An exploration of rivalries beyond "Hindu-Muslim"
An exploration of rivalries beyond "Hindu-Muslim" tries to re-think the notion that only "Hindu-Muslim" rivalries can engage people. We, in this "Kalyug", have forgotten all the great rivalries we used to, and still have, just because our Whatsapp forwards and our news channels try their heart-out to grab our attention in riot-mongering and "Fake nationalism" beyond communal harmony (or rather harm-money, or socially, Harm-any). This article tries to throw photons on rivalries which can be mentally fought out without blood loss and riots. Speaking of riots, BORED- aren't we? There have been so many that we've lost the count (of lives gone) so it'll be nice to divert our minds and explore things which need our attention more than ever.
Ink vs Ballpen
Our system has always taught us to write beautifully and fast and how much ever we believe that its a contradiction; it'll always be the truth. Ink pen is used by people who have nothing to do besides creating artistic "Mona-Lisas" on white paper (no, that is not a thing!) while ball-pens, again, are used by people who have nothing better to do besides preparing for different "Sarkari" exams and be a parasite on the tax-payers. People have had certain likings towards these two categories; the Ball-pen and the Ink-pen. I think Pencils do great. But if there had to be a fight between Ink-pen and Ball-pen lovers, it would be lovely to watch the gladiators throw Ink and use-and-throw pens at each other. The rivalry writes it's way to our listicle of: An exploration of rivalries beyond "Hindu-Muslim".
Cricket vs Football
The lovers of one of this have had strokes and fit when Tendulkar was at 99, the lovers of the other majorly come from a place regarded passionately as "Chinese", especially by the highly talented and educated "North Indians". Cricket became famous in our country when we used another one of the old "Hat-Tricks" of the Britishers and tried to defeat them in their own game, We did defeat them but at what cost? So that our Dads always ask us for the remote while watching television and switch the channel to another "Nationalistic" Cricket game where India usually wins? Football has been famous among the Boomers but limited to the Worldcup, a real passion of "Soccer" took birth in Millenials who were lonely, unmotivated and always on the Internet for some reason. With hundreds and hundreds of posts about "La Liga" and the "English Premier League" being promoted on Social media, our lonely Millenials got a chance to glue themselves to a socially accepted entertainment form besides pornography. Boomers don't fight for their games, they know it's always "Fixed", but Millenials have always fought for their right to shout and fight and altercate about their choice of games forming a rivalry of Cricket vs Football. I watch Basketball, lol, so I don't care about both the games. Anyway, sports had to be there in An exploration of rivalries beyond "Hindu-Muslim"
Shahrukh vs Salman
Ok, let me make this clear, both of them had made the worst movies possible (I know I'm going to get bashed). This is probably the most severe rivalries of Indian Pop Culture. The problem is, there is no sense to it. I don't even know why people fight over their favourite celebrities and that too Shahrukh and Salman! Both have similar acting talent, both do similar movies. I can't even tell the difference now after giving it a thought. Anyway, this is a war between generic Bhai of everyone and generic crush of every girl, the contradiction is straight "Bhai" is not married and has several affairs while "King Khan" has long been married. So it's hard to believe the nature of this rivalry, but it would be great to have a dialogue war or something among the fans of both of them because "Being Human" is difficult when people try to put "Red Chillies" in your eyes. Maybe both of these "stars" will make a movie on An exploration of rivalries beyond "Hindu-Muslim" ( and I hope it'll be good)
CBSE vs ICSE
I am not made to comment on this, I failed Class 5th and never had to go to school again; "Family Business", my mother's family was wealthy and so my father took dowry and started his own business. But the aura of CBSE vs ICSE has been going on since ages, mainly because ICSE snatched the "English medium" title from CBSE, although, I don't believe both of them have any acumen as to how English is taught and neither do our schools have enough good teachers who can teach a language. Then there are people with a competitive disease who like to say ICSE is "tougher" than CBSE, BULLSHIT PAL! Our system doesn't give enough recognition to creativity and anything which is non-creative (like our trivia books which we call syllabus) will be difficult for the human brain (3500 CC, which you might know is not AI) until you don't like "thinking" and prefer "slavery", so my point being, there is no point to this rivalry- AT ALL! They are all systems of mass slavery, and our children give in on it because, you know, 200 years, for the British- by the British- to the British, slavery's in our blood. Meanwhile, in the time I took to write this paragraph, 3 state-boarders cleared UPSC. On a serious note; All these "Boards" are the reason why I have to write an article on An exploration of rivalries beyond "Hindu-Muslim"
Brain vs Heart
Not a Humans vs Humans rivalry but an internal struggle. You might've seen several hundred social media posts of a Brain saying something and the heart opposing, usually, the brain is illustrated to be "bio-logically" similar to the real piece but the heart is illustrated as a woman bending over (some do the real ones too), Exempli Gratia; Brain: You should do the Dishes / Heart: We'll just order in take-outs, Brain: You cannot blame a community for the degradation of society! Try to win over every community and then bring the change you want / Heart: Yeah I cannot blame a community, they won't understand! Let's just kill all the jews or transfer them in a camp and then kill them. So you get the gist, right? It's hell inside a human. To get logical its not about Brain vs Heart, it's about intuition and genetic makeup which is influenced by our society, environment and of course hereditary, but nobody cares (rather knows) about intuition and genetic make-up (because of point number 4) so its a good idea to illustrate it using imaginary cartoons when "The struggle is real". Probably the only "Real" rivalry on our listicle of An exploration of rivalries beyond "Hindu-Muslim"
Tik-Tok vs Youtube
I don't even know why this exists, both are great platforms of creativity and some overdo it to gain a mass following, the ones who "overdo" have started this rivalry and they are the scum of our society and so is everyone who takes sides in this case. Seriously anyone who says either party is better because of so and so reasons should seriously just give up whatever they're doing to go work in MNREGA and let the people of our humble classes exchange positions with you. Just creating a confrontation among two platforms which are used by people who suffer from boredom or creative blockage to express themselves and satisfy being alive, is the worst thing humans can do after genocides. Grow up or be gone! Sadly it is An exploration of rivalries beyond "Hindu-Muslim"
There are many more rivalries to think about like: Novel vs Films, Lenses Vs Glasses, Mouthy Vs Shut the hell up! Introverts Vs Extroverts, Hands Vs Legs (What?), we'll try and explore them all in the coming blogs. Meanwhile, try to fight every and anyone and then just die. Cheers!
